My Work History

Canadian Tire

I joined Canadian Tire as the lead UX designer for the Triangle Select pilot program, a paid subscription add-on to Canadian Tire’s loyalty program, Triangle Rewards. The UX goal of the project was to take a complex paid program and create a marketing page that would be digestible and intriguing, as well as to create a simple registration and onboarding process. In collaboration with business, product and technical leads, I worked to consolidate stakeholder feedback, requirements and aspirational goals to inform my wireframes and ensure I was working within the technical limitations of the project. I continued iterating those wireframes using user testing, customer interviews, and input from multiple teams at Canadian Tire. Once satisfied that I had achieved the goals of the project, I partnered with an in-house UI designer to create branding/visual design elements and design finalized mockups. 

Since successfully launching the Triangle Select product in 2021, I have acted as the lead UX designer on a complete website redesign. Like the previous project, I participated in and led workshops with the business team to understand both the goals of the redesign and their two-year aspirations as a company. I also helped to analyze competitors' websites, looking at what they are doing well, what they could be doing better, and what will help ours to stand apart. In partnership with the user research team, I worked to create three unique personas based on the user’s relationship with the service and individual customer journeys. After completing a content audit of the existing website, I consolidated the content into groups based on user needs. Once the initial discovery phase was completed, I moved to a dual-track agile process: completing wireframes, reviewing them with teammates, performing user testing, and sending the wireframes to the UI team to brand and finalize for developers.

Intersect

As a product designer at Intersect, I worked with various national and international clients, translating business objectives into intuitive user experiences. I worked with businesses to understand their product's value proposition, their relationship with their customers and where they felt they could improve their users’ experiences. I delivered user flows that accounted for all possible journeys the user may take and presented those flows to technical leads and external stakeholders throughout our bi-weekly sprints.

TD Canada Trust

As a UX designer at TD, I worked with a talented team to prototype exceptional experiences. Using personas, research and customer journey maps, we dove deep into specific web platform features, mapping out each scenario for both happy and unhappy user paths. Features were then added to a complex prototype that was used for both user testing and stakeholder alignment. I collaborated closely with web and app developers to ensure that our solutions worked within technical limitations and participated in design critiques by providing positive and constructive feedback to other designers. This position was a contract through ProCom.
